I remember when i was young, mum was always knitting us kids jumpers and things. In particular i remember a nice matching balaclava, scarf and gloves with the obligatory string tying them together. One winters afternoon after being dropped off by the school bus and running through the snow to get home quickly i hit our front door porch at great speed and instead of slowing down to knock on the door i continued at great speed, hitting the front door and sticking my head through the glass panel. Somewhat dazed i was greeted by mum coming out the kitchen door. I cant remember what was said but its a reminder that double chunky knit balaclava crash helmets were just the thing for the adventurous kid.
